Hi! I'm Nadya Häkkinen.

I'm an American-born junior-level front-end developer based in Jyväskylä, Finland. I started learning front-end development independently in 2019. Since then, I've designed and built a few static websites as a freelancer for a handful of great clients.

I'm currently enrolled in the Media and WordPress Development program at Jyväskylä's Gradia Vocational College. My goal in 2024 is to secure a full-time job as a WordPress developer, specializing in the front-end side of things but occasionally jumping into the back-end as needed.

I use HTML, (S)CSS, and vanilla JavaScript to build my static sites. I'm relatively new to PHP compared to the aforementioned three languages, but I have learned enough of it to build a few of my own custom WordPress themes, both on my own as practice and as part of my Gradia studies.

Rakennusliike Seiska

This local construction company wanted a website overhaul. The goal was to simplify and focus on their core strengths while showcasing their most important references. The design came from Kalliola la land and I handled the development.

Universal Music Finland Splash Template

A customizable and reusable template I built so that the client could easily make splash pages for multiple artists. The design idea and spec came from the client. All colors, images and layout can be easily customized even by non-developers thanks to CSS custom properties.

Kose Productions

A minimalistic website for a local artist to showcase his various musical outlets. The color theme changes with the season, and I had way too much fun with the polaroids and their fade-in effects.
